? the meaning of having weekends is to relax托福独立口语范文：i think students should relax and socialize during weekends instead of studying for at least three reasons. first of all, students should learn to alternate work with rest, which is important for improving the study efficiency. as in my high school age, lots of students studied every day and night, but they never got the result they wanted. however, the students who relaxed and socialized during weekends studied better in the classes. secondly, social skills are as important as study for students’ development. there are lots of students who have no social skills cannot find a good job after graduation. finally, the meaning of having weekends is to relax, because people need rest after a whole week of study, it’s a scientific law.

in comparison to the other two difficulties which freshmen may come across after entering university, i think a lack of time to relax should be considered a serious one. there are some reasons. first of all, homework in university doubles in comparison to that in high school. if a university student cannot properly arrange the spare time, one may have to stay up the whole night, catching up with piles of homework, let alone relax. moreover, there are daily chores to take care of which were probably finished by mother when at home. most children, when at home, are told the priority in their life should be study and all the family chores therefore have been shouldered by parents. but when in university without the care of parents, students have to look after themselves, including room cleaning and laundry, which they are unfamiliar with.
